1st Shift Position Summary The TIG Welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing aluminum parts and assemblies using TIG (GTAW) welding techniques. This position requires reading blueprints, using measuring tools, producing high-quality welds, and following all company safety and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on aluminum parts and assemblies. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Measure, fit, and align materials before welding. Prepare materials by cleaning and inspecting surfaces. Select the proper welding equipment and settings for each job. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards. Use hand tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment as needed. Perform basic maintenance and daily inspections of welding equipment. Keep work areas clean and organized. Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE. Work with supervisors and team members to meet production goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous TIG welding experience required. Experience welding aluminum preferred. Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for long periods. Lift heavy parts with or without assistance. Bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements. Wear required personal protective equipment throughout the shift. Work Environment Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, welding fumes, sparks, moving equipment, and changing temperatures. Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
