Duties & Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine project specifications Weld and solder components to fabricate or assemble metal structures according to project requirements Use various tools and equipment, such as welding machines and torches, to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) Inspect welded surfaces and structures for quality and accuracy Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards and codes during all welding operations Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working conditionRequirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder or similar role
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and welding codes
- Strong knowledge of different welding techniques, such as TIG and MMA
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in welding processes
- Familiarity with ductwork fabrication and pipe threading is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high quality welds
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks while being exposed to the elements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
