Pay Range:
$20-$23/hour, based on experience and demonstrated performance

English speaking required; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred About Us Founded in 1984, Lambert's Ironworks is a DFW-based company specializing in custom gates, fencing, wood fencing, gate automation, and architectural ironwork. We design, fabricate, and install nearly all of our work in-house, allowing us to maintain high standards for quality, craftsmanship, and service. We work with homeowners, builders, and trade partners across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and are focused on building a long-term team that values accountability, reliability, professionalism, teamwork, and pride in workmanship. Job Summary Lambert's Ironworks is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator / Installer to support both our shop and field operations. We are looking for someone with strong installation, welding, fabrication, or construction experience, sound judgment, initiative, and a willingness to learn. This role includes both shop and field responsibilities. Employees should expect to work in both environments as they learn Lambert's operations and as business needs evolve. This is a physically demanding position requiring consistent attendance, strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to work efficiently in hot and cold outdoor environments throughout the year. Success is measured by workmanship, safety, productivity, communication, and reliability. Key Responsibilities Fabricate, install, and repair gates, fencing, architectural metalwork, and related products while following Lambert's quality standards Perform welding, fabrication, cutting, grinding, and material preparation as required Ensure crews arrive prepared with required materials, tools, and equipment Set posts, maintain layout accuracy, and ensure quality installations Read layouts, measurements, drawings, and work orders Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve field issues independently whenever possible Communicate job status, material needs, and field issues to management while professionally representing Lambert's with homeowners, builders, and trade partners Load, unload, transport, and secure materials and equipment Maintain shop organization, equipment, and work areas to support efficient production Maintain safe, organized job sites while representing Lambert's professionally and following company safety standards Demonstrate initiative by setting a positive example, helping train teammates, solving field problems, and supporting crew productivity Support both shop and field operations as business needs require Qualifications Experience Minimum three years of installation, welding, fabrication, or construction experience required; five years preferred Experience installing ornamental iron, gates, fencing, architectural metalwork, structural steel, or similar construction products preferred Experience installing wood fencing preferred Proficiency in stick welding or MIG welding required. Experience with both welding processes and automatic gate installation is preferred. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to drive company trucks and tow trailers Reliable transportation to the Haltom City shop Ability to lift 80+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day Ability to travel locally to job sites throughout DFW Comfortable working in both shop and outdoor environments Compensation & Benefits Stable, full-time W-2 employment Overtime available Paid Time Off (PTO) after 90-day probationary period Paid holidays 401(k) with employer match after 90-day probationary period Supplemental benefits including dental, vision, life insurance, accident insurance, and more Company-provided tools and PPE 90-day performance review with opportunities for compensation increases based on overall performance, reliability, quality of work, productivity, communication, and demonstrated initiative.
