We are seeking a skilled GTAW Welder to join our team and contribute to the fabrication of pressure-containing steel vessels. This vital role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of interpreting drawings and specifications to deliver precise welds that meet industry standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and quality of our projects in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform GTAW welding, including GMAW/FCAW and/or SAW processes, on various types of steel vessels. Weld carbon and stainless steel based on drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Read and interpret drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to determine the appropriate welding process. Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA requirements within the welding environment. Follow oral and written instructions accurately and efficiently. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departments. Complete additional tasks and duties as required.
Requirements:
High school education (GED) or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of welding experience is a plus. Current eligibility to work in the United States. Knowledge of vessel fabrication practices, welding concepts, and procedures. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and requirements. Ability to weld to AWS and ASME code, with 100% x-ray inspection. Successful completion of a 6G position test using
GMAW/FCAW
plus GTAW or Sub Arc test. Physical capability to perform tasks typical within a welding shop environment, including the use of PPE such as safety glasses and steel-toe boots.
