The qualified candidate will be an experienced TIG welder who has proven practical working knowledge of welding thin gauge sheet metal, steel, stainless and aluminum. With 4-5 years of experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

:

• Utilize TIG welding to perform moderate, advanced and complex assemblies of sheet metal parts.
• Able to read blueprints to ensure accurate weld fabrication requirements.
• Reviewing work orders to understand tolerance requirements and be able to weld to close tolerances.
• Work with advanced welders to learn complex assemblies which require welding multiple parts for one fixture.
• Weld components as required per print specifications.
• Capability to weld various materials to include sheet metal, stainless steel and aluminum.

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma and one to three years related work experience.
• One to three years' directly related experience in metal fabrication welding thin gauge metals.
• Able to calculate basic math requirements.
• Knowledge of weld call outs on blueprints and/or work orders.

CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment under tight customer deadlines.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of required tools such as calipers, clamps, pliers and center punch.
