Job Description
The qualified candidate will be an experienced TIG welder who has proven practical working knowledge of welding thin gauge sheet metal, steel, stainless and aluminum. With 4-5 years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
:- Utilize TIG welding to perform moderate, advanced and complex assemblies of sheet metal parts.
- Able to read blueprints to ensure accurate weld fabrication requirements.
- Reviewing work orders to understand tolerance requirements and be able to weld to close tolerances.
- Work with advanced welders to learn complex assemblies which require welding multiple parts for one fixture.
- Weld components as required per print specifications.
- Capability to weld various materials to include sheet metal, stainless steel and aluminum.
EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma and one to three years related work experience.
- One to three years' directly related experience in metal fabrication welding thin gauge metals.
- Able to calculate basic math requirements.
- Knowledge of weld call outs on blueprints and/or work orders.
CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work in fast-paced environment under tight customer deadlines.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Working knowledge of required tools such as calipers, clamps, pliers and center punch.
