About the role Job Summary Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job. Maintain and repair all machinery. Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors. Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes. Responsibilities Maintain proper training certification (GTAW, SMAW, SAW, etc.) Be able capable of reading all prints issued to welding department Accurately follow welding instructions to provide quality welds within the appropriate approved methods Ability to use and operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders and forklifts Work closely and communicate clearly with the other departments, Weld personnel, Supervisor and Lead Man Maintain LEAN objectives within the department Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.
