Lewisville, TX Job Details $23.37 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Machine setup Equipment setup (production tasks) Inventory records High school diploma or GED Blueprint dimension interpretation Full Job Description Summary Perform a variety of welding, brazing and cutting techniques using gas and electric welding equipment while observing safety regulations and engaging in Unarco's Total Quality Management philosophy. Must be able to perform multiple tasks throughout the day in a job shop environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receives instructions for job from welding supervisor. Fits and assembles parts as required by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment. Have the aptitude to work on new products by applying welding principals and traits to weld creatively, troubleshoot potential issues and develop possible resolutions. Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded, assembles and welds parts to required tolerance. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Ability to lift 50 pounds at a reasonable rate in a normal day. Must meet or exceed production standards. Ability to work without close supervision. Perform quality checks as instructed through quality procedures. Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as required. Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead and jib cranes in a safe and responsible manner. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to pass company entry level welding and tape tests Must be able to understand verbal and written orders Must be able to weld clean, high quality, certifiable product Must be able to count and sort products Must be able to read blue prints Must be able to complete inventory tickets Must be able to set up welding machines Must have manual dexterity skills Education and/or experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1 years experience in welding or less, preferably with 6 months of formal training Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
