Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Welders work to ensure that they weld defective and broken parts and structural members of all terminal trucks, trailers, cranes, and associated equipment and machinery.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Demonstrate welding, cutting, and fabrication skills, including experience Use a variety of welding equipment and procedures Determine the appropriate welding method, based on requirements Utilize TIG, MIG, wire and DC welders Take and read measurements to plan the layout and procedures of many different types of projects Read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings Assess the process or actions needed for the job Work with coworkers to complete the project in a safe and timely manner Maintain a safe and orderly work area Display familiarity with crossovers, tanks, and stairs Practice safe usage of cutting torches, plasma cutters, and grinding equipment Read and interpret technical documents and drawings Perform other related duties as assignedPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Welders generally work outside and, in the shop, and travel to different job sites each day. Hours fluctuate and very according to the market demand. No shift can be guaranteed, and long hours may be required. Shifts may begin at different hours of the day or evening. Work is completed in a cautious environment where there are hazards and temperature extremes. Job sites are typically located in very remote locations where urban conveniences may not be available. Wash Bay Techs must drive carefully (as needed), wear proper safety gear, follow all company and site safety rules, and be responsible. This is not only to protect the safety of oneself but for others, the community, and the environment.POSITION SUMMARY
