Job Description

A global provider of pipeline isolation, hot tapping, and integrity solutions for the energy industry is seeking a Pipe Welder / Pipe Fitter to join the team. This is an opportunity for a skilled combo welder to fabricate and weld metal pressure-retaining components in a fast-paced shop environment. The Welder is responsible for fabricating and welding components as specified by drawings, blueprints, and diagrams, using MIG, Subarc, Flux Core, and Stick welding techniques.

Direct Hire Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to determine welding requirements. Follow company safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform various welding techniques including MIG, Subarc, Flux Core, and Stick welding. Operate welding equipment such as gas torches, welding machines, and fabrication tools. Grind, file, and sand welds, seams, joints, and rough surfaces to required finish. Inspect completed welds to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards. Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized. Perform other duties as assigned by the Welding Lead and Operations Manager. Comply with all company and/or client quality, safety, and environmental management systems and procedures at all times. Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses, or hazards to your manager or foreman and complete the required documentation. Do not perform any task unless you have been properly trained and authorized to do so.
Requirements:
Proficient in MIG, Subarc, Flux Core, and Stick welding techniques Knowledge of welding symbols and ability to interpret blueprints and drawings Ability to pass a 6GR welding test Skilled in independently fitting and assembling components for welding Experience welding pressure vessels or pressure-retaining equipment 3-10 years of experience in welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Ability to read and interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Proficient in operating and maintaining welding machines and related equipment Ability to troubleshoot welding issues and identify practical solutions Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality welds Works well under pressure and adapts to changing priorities and production demands Committed to following safety procedures and contributing to a safe work environment Communicates clearly with team members and reports delays or issues proactively Willing to work overtime or adjust to shift requirements when needed to meet production goals Follows instructions accurately and responds well to feedback and direction Takes responsibility for actions, follows through on commitments, and supports team success Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Contributes to an inclusive and supportive team culture aligned with the company's values Due to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications.
