Job Description

Title:
Welder / Fabricator OMi Crane Systems, Inc. is a vertically integrated manufacturer of through-the-air material handling equipment. From our 76,000 square foot plant outside Dallas, Texas we provide product, turnkey installation, start up and load testing services. With service locations in Dallas, Houston, and Birmingham, we provide 24/7 product support for our products, as well as the products of other manufacturers. OMi has an immediate opening for a Welder / Fabricator. Seeking an experienced, self-motivated team member, capable of managing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Production Manager. Fabricate weldments and assemblies in the production of overhead cranes. Read and interpret drawings / blueprints. Use equipment to clean, prepare, cut, and weld components. Use best practices to meet production schedule and quality assurance requirements. Work safely and responsibly in an industrial environment by adhering to all OSHA and internal safety policies. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required for material handling.
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in a welding/fabricating environment Experience with gas shielded flux-cored arc welding (FCAW). Experience with Sub-Arc welding preferred. Experience with Oxy/Acetylene cutting torch. Must be able to pass in-house fillet weld test at time of interview. Prior overhead crane fabrication experience is a strong plus. Basic knowledge of hand tools.
