Temp To Hire Job #401224 Priority Personnel is hiring a Scructural Fabricator Welder for a company located in San Marcos, TX.

Pay rate:

$17.00-22.00/hour

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday/7:00am-3:30pm with occasional

OT Job Duties:

Bend, cut, and shape rebar to create sculptural and structural frames according to project specifications and designs. Perform TIG and Arc welding on steel and other metal components per project requirements and blueprints. Assemble and weld metal parts to create frames, supports, and other structural elements for GFRC projects. Weld rebar to structural frames to ensure stability and alignment of sculptures. Inspect and test welded joints to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements. Apply Lath over rebar frames Clad frames in EPS foam Collaborate with designers, engineers, and team members to understand project requirements and provide input on fabrication and welding techniques. Maintain fabrication and welding equipment in good working condition and report any necessary repairs. Use heavy machinery, including telehandlers, forklifts, and scissor lifts. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained. Assist in the preparation and setup of materials and work areas. Maintain accurate records of fabrication and welding activities, including time, materials used, and project progress. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Steel toed boots Technical certification or vocational training in welding and fabrication preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in rebar bending and welding, including TIG and Arc welding, in a construction or manufacturing setting. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Strong understanding of rebar fabrication, welding techniques, materials, and structural integrity. Experience with heavy machinery such as forklifts, telehandlers, and scissor lifts. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements. Physical ability to perform fabrication and welding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to welding and construction.
