Job Description

Job Overview We are searching for a structural welder and fitter or wire welder that can read drawings and prints. Welders may also cut and shape metal, repair machinery and other components, and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment. Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project. Sourcing the materials to be used in the project. Measuring and cutting materials to specifications. Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together. Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm Friday 7:00am - 2:30pm Responsibilities Perform welding tasks on structural components using MIG/Wire welding techniques. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the specifications of the project. Utilize hand tools, to measure and cut materials accurately. Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move heavy materials as needed. Conduct plasma cutting for precise metal shaping and preparation. Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards throughout all welding processes. Inspect completed welds for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines at all times. Qualifications Proficient in blueprint reading and fabrication techniques Skilled in various welding methods Experience with power tools, hand tools, and plasma cutting equipment Familiarity with measuring instruments Knowledge of rigging and mechanical systems Ability to work effectively and adhere to safety protocols Must work well with others, be adaptable to personalities Dependable/Reliable Willing to help in other areas if welding is caught up . Hourly pay depends on experience, knowledge of industry and how you perform the test we conduct during the welding interview. If hired, PTO, sick days, paid holidays, 401k are offered.
