Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for fabricating and building high-quality metal structures. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to work with sheet metal, as well as experience using power tools and hand tools. The Welder/Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects meet our high standards of quality and safety. Duties Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and blueprints. Utilize various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Operate power tools, hand tools, and equipment such as plasma cutters and calipers. Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to safety standards and project requirements. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Use cranes for lifting heavy materials as needed during the fabrication process. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in welding and fitting, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. Experience operating cranes safely is preferred. Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, plasma cutting equipment, and calipers. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
