Stick Welder -
Night ShiftSchedule:
Monday-Thursday, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM (12-hour shifts) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Stick Welder (SMAW) to join our night shift production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on structural steel, fabricated components, and heavy equipment parts while meeting production schedules and maintaining strict safety standards. This position requires attention to detail, strong fabrication skills, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick Welding) according to company and industry standards. Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, shop drawings, and work orders. Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, fitting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces prior to welding. Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with specifications. Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Repair and modify fabricated components as required. Maintain production goals while ensuring high-quality workmanship. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production needs and quality concerns. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of stick welding experience preferred. Ability to pass a pre-employment welding test. Experience welding structural steel and heavy-gauge materials preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and equipment operation. Ability to work independently and maintain productivity during night shift hours. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work in a manufacturing or fabrication environment with exposure to heat, dust, noise, and welding fumes. Ability to wear required PPE, including welding hood, gloves, respirator, and steel-toed boots. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and skill level. Night shift differential.
