Fabricator job duties include cutting out, positioning, and piecing together structural metal parts, following precise instructions before welding. Must read and understand engineering specs supplied by manuals, diagrams, and computerized drafting programs. Fabricators also have to utilize many unique tools and precision measuring instruments. Overtime required depending on workload.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Must be able to pass a 2G horizontal weld test using the GMAW process Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings Understanding of welding principles and practices Ability to use squares, measuring tapes, mag drills, grinders, and other hand tools required for fabrication Able to fit up and weld pieces for fabrication Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
