Experienced Shop Steel Welder/Fitter/Fabricator Up Right Steel Woods Cross, UT Job Details Full-time $34 - $38 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Cutting Metal building erection Steel construction materials Attention to detail Grinding Leadership Full Job Description Job Overview Up Right Steel, LLC, a steel fabrication and erection company located in Woods Cross, Utah, is now accepting applications for an experienced full-time Shop Steel Welder/Fitter/Fabricator/Erector. This position is primarily focused on shop welding, fitting, and steel fabrication, with field erection work as needed. Duties include, but are not limited to: Layout, fit, and fabricate structural steel and miscellaneous metal Perform MIG/wire-feed and stick/arc welding Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection plans Measure, cut, drill, punch, grind, and prepare steel components as required Assemble and fit structural steel accurately to drawings and specifications Inspect work for proper fit-up, weld quality, dimensions, and overall workmanship Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Assist with loading, unloading, and preparing fabricated steel for delivery Perform field erection and installation work as required We are seeking a skilled shop welder/fitter/fabricator with 5+ years of industry experience. Candidates must be proficient in welding and have solid experience fitting and fabricating structural steel. Prior steel erection experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will be able to independently read drawings, lay out and fit steel accurately, produce quality welds, and work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Attention to detail, reliability, ability to consistently meet deadlines, and a strong work ethic are essential. Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus. Hourly wage will range from $34.00-$38.00 per hour, depending upon experience and credentials. This is a full-time position.
