Specialized Construction Services (SCS), headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking experienced Traveling Carbon Steel Pipe Welders for an upcoming 10-week industrial project in Troutville, Virginia, just outside Roanoke, VA. This is a traveling position. Qualified candidates from across the United States are encouraged to apply. Position Summary The Pipe Welder will perform carbon steel pipe welding in accordance with approved welding procedures, project specifications, and quality standards. Candidates must successfully pass a carbon steel pipe weld test before mobilization.

6 ten-hour shifts per week (60 hours)

Pay:

$34.00 to $36.00 per hour

Per Diem:

$130 per day, paid 7 days per week

Pending final contract award Responsibilities Perform carbon steel pipe welding in accordance with project specifications. Read and interpret drawings and welding requirements. Produce quality welds while maintaining productivity and safety standards. Maintain welding equipment and personal tools. Follow all company and site safety requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications Previous carbon steel pipe welding experience preferred. Must pass the required carbon steel pipe weld test before starting. Must be able to work a 60-hour work week. Must be willing to travel to Troutville, Virginia. Must provide required personal welding tools.
