Job Description

Welder About the Role We're seeking a skilled Welder to join our sheet metal manufacturing team. In this role, you'll weld and finish aluminum, stainless steel, and steel components used in custom metal cabinets, boxes, and enclosures. A large part of the job involves working with robotic welding equipment, inspecting completed welds, and making repairs to ensure a clean, high-quality finish. This is a production-focused role where attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship are essential. Responsibilities Perform TIG, MIG, and occasional stick welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel components. Operate and support robotic welding equipment. Inspect welds and repair defects such as porosity, blowouts, and holes. Grind, smooth, and finish welds to meet cosmetic and quality standards. Read blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications. Set up and adjust welding equipment for different materials and thicknesses. Complete routine equipment maintenance and upkeep. Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards. Follow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines. Qualifications Experience with TIG and MIG welding required. Aluminum welding experience strongly preferred. Experience with stainless steel welding. Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings. Experience working with sheet metal components. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Reliable with strong time management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating robotic welding equipment. Technical welding education or certification. 1-2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic computer skills and familiarity with manufacturing software. The work involves standing for extended periods, frequent bending and kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds. You'll be part of a small, growing team that values quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Airway Heights, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.45/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
