JD-015 LCNW
is seeking to add qualified and experienced Fitter/Welders to our growing team. Individual should be motivated to work in a team environment and will be expected to support the common goal of the team to produce exceptional products per the schedule provided.
Responsibilities / Duties
Welders are responsible for: 1) Setup welding machines based on a Welding Procedure Specification 2) Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings 3) Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications 4) Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards. 5) Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency 6)Operating a forklift safely 7) Weld structural steel in all positions. 8) Select welding wires, gases, and settings for a variety of processes. 9) Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly. Using tools such as straightedges, combination squares, calipers, flange line up pins, wraparounds, center finders, degree finders, and rulers. 10) Be able to identify, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade. 11) Up hold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 1
) Accurately read measuring equipment such as measuring tape and calipers. 2) Knowledge of aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon welding distortion. 3) Knowledge of wire selection per material type including wire diameter and type. 4) Understanding of welding processes: GMAW-S (short arc), GMAW-S (spray), GMAW-P (pulse), FCAW(flux), GTAW (tig). 5) Experience in the above welding processes with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. 6) Knowledge of gas selection. 7) Experience in blueprint reading and understanding weld call outs 8) Ability to troubleshoot: weld porosity, weld bead appearance/profile, wire feed issues,arc blow, undercut, and splatter. 9) Welding equipment maintenance. 10)
MIG/FCAW/TIG
Welding:
3 years (Preferred) 11)
Sheet Metal Fabrication:
3 years (Preferred) 12) Robotic welding and or Laser welding experience (Bonus)
