Building intake pipes, exhaust pipes and coolant pipes using blueprints, modify intake and exhaust pipes using blueprints and patterns Duties Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project specifications and requirements. Perform welding using MIG, Oxy Acetylene welding techniques Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping and assembling mild steel tubing Ranging between 16 and 14 gauge tubing and other metal materials using roll cutter, chop saw, band saw, plasma cutters, hydraulic press machines, power tools, and machining equipment. Measure materials accurately with calipers, measuring tapes and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete welding tasks while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings for complex fabrication projects involving plasma cutting, and mechanical assembly. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety standards. Qualifications knowledge of welding processes including MIG welding, Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, measuring tapes, and shop math for precise fabrication measurements. Mechanical knowledge of fabrication tools including hydraulic press, plasma cutters, power tools, machining equipment, Commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of work; understanding of OSHA regulations is preferred.
