Job Description
About Endurance Endurance is building the world's first modular subsea geothermal power plants, converting vast thermal resources under the ocean into gigawatts of baseload power. Backed by Founders Fund, Felicis, First Round Capital, and Point72 Ventures, our founding team includes veterans from SpaceX, Helion, and Robinhood. We have completed multiple deep-ocean deployments and are launching a long-term demonstration project this fall. By leveraging modular design, manufacturing scale, efficient drilling, and latent cooling on the seafloor, we are pioneering a new category of energy that outperforms traditional sources on both environmental impact and cost. What you'll be doing As a welder at Endurance Energy, you'll work alongside engineers to develop welding processes, fabricate novel heat exchanger designs, and develop repeatable manufacturing processes. You'll gain hands-on experience with GTAW and handheld laser welding of stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium while helping us manufacture the world's first subsea geothermal power plant. Additionally, you will support rapid prototyping and the first of a kind manufacturing efforts required to deliver subsea infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities TIG welding of Inconel, stainless steel, and titanium HHLBW (handheld laser welding) of Inconel, stainless steel, and titanium Fit, tack, and weld heat exchangers that transfer 100-1000s of kW of power Weld thick-walled process piping for extreme high-pressure systems Collaborated with engineers on welding procedure qualification Perform hands-on machining, fabrication, and modifications to support rapid prototyping and test readiness Follow safety procedures in a welding and fabrication shop, ensuring shop is compliant and safe Document assembly steps, test procedures, and observations for engineering review Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot fit up and welding issues Maintain a clean and organized fabrication shop Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience TIG welding advanced alloys including Inconel, stainless steel, and titanium Demonstrated proficiency in HHLBW (handheld laser beam welding) or willingness to train into laser processes Deep understanding of weld quality standards for high-pressure, high-temperature systems Experience fabricating or repairing components for marine, aerospace, or power generation systems Proven ability to fit, tack, and weld complex multi-material assemblies with tight tolerances Hands-on familiarity with fabrication tools, machining, and precision measurement Strong understanding of weld metallurgy, joint design, and distortion control for nickel and titanium alloys Comfortable reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and weld symbols (AWS
