Job Title:
Welder Job Description Join a very fast-paced, production environment where you will engage in Pulse (MIG) welding on mild steel using weld fixtures and symbols to complete units efficiently. As a welder, you will be part of a team that averages between 2,000-2,500 welds per day, focusing on consistent cosmetic welding. Your role involves loading metal onto fixtures, welding specific parts, and passing the unit to the next welder. Productivity is measured by the weld cell, emphasizing teamwork over individual performance. Responsibilities Perform Pulse (MIG) welding on mild steel using weld fixtures and symbols. Complete units in a set time frame, averaging 2,000-2,500 welds per day. Ensure consistent cosmetic welding quality. Load and unload metal onto and from weld fixtures. Read and interpret weld symbols to complete tasks. Collaborate effectively with the team to maintain cell productivity. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Pulse welding. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Capability to read and interpret weld symbols. Good memorization skills. Adaptability to work in a hot, physical environment. The role involves bending, twisting, and lifting throughout the day. The dress code includes wearing a weld helmet, gloves, weld jacket, steel toe boots, and ear plugs. Attendance is crucial, with no more than four occurrences in six months, and strict policies apply within the first 30 days. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owatonna, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
