Job Description
Now hiring a Welder Trainee to join our comprehensive training program! Job Description As a Welder Trainee, you will be responsible for mastering welding skills, operating equipment safely, and assembling metal parts with precision. You will undergo a comprehensive training program to qualify for a full-time welding position. Responsibilities Pass and maintain required welder certifications and qualifications. Operate overhead cranes and welding equipment safely. Set up and adjust welding equipment for proper weld quality. Weld and assemble metal components in various positions. Heat, form, fit, and position materials for welding. Read blueprints, follow work instructions, and use measuring tools accurately. Maintain quality standards and attention to detail. Cross-train and support various production areas as needed. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area. Work effectively independently and as part of a team. Maintain reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency with tape measure, assembly, production, hand tools, mechanical assembly, power tools, and manufacturing mechanical tasks. Welding experience or certification through an educational institution. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Additional Information Sign-on bonus available once a direct employee. Earn up to $1,500 bonus during your first year of employment. Double-time pay for hours worked on Sundays. Supportive team environment that encourages both independent work and collaboration. Join a growing welding department with plans to expand from 300 to 400 employees. Perform repetitive production welding on the same parts daily. Work in a culture that values safety, teamwork, and individual contribution. Dress code includes jeans, steel-toe boots, and a clean work shirt. Complete a 7-week training program on 1st shift (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM). Multiple shift options available following completion of training program. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Mc Connellsburg, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
