Job Description

Responsible for the fabrication, lay out, position, alignment, and fitting of metal products per customer requirements. Interpret and work from complex drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications. Use a large variety of tools including but not limited to, MIG/TIG welders, Spot Welder, PEM Press, Bridgeport vertical mill, Plate Roller, Tubing Bender, Pipe Coper, Glass Bead Booth, small blast cabinets, turn tables, etc. Responsible to determine what welding process needs to be done and the proper tooling required. Identify non-conformances during inspection of component parts and properly document such non-conformances. Perform inspection of incoming parts and self-inspection of completed parts. Notifying supervisor when work received does not meet the specifications required by previous fabricators. Record an accurate log of job times and specifications for audit reports. Will maintain clean equipment/tools and work area. Use of fork trucks and overhead cranes.
