Hours:
Tuesday-Friday 5:30am-3:30pm, 1:30pm-9:30pm, 6:30pm-4:30am QPS Employment Group is hiring a Welder for a company in Fall River, Wisconsin. This is a potential to hire opportunity. Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Successfully read and understand blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols to meet or exceed client expectations Use GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW to effectively weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts together per the weld process specification sheet Perform welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum Hand layouts of weldments with little to no supervision or assistance Use fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts to customer specifications Assist with creating work instructions Complete the first piece, in process, and final inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures Pressure testing fuel tanks and hydro testing glycol tanks Analyze weld processes and recommend process improvements
Welder Requirements:
Preferred a 1-2 year technical welding degree with 1-2 years of welding experience (GMAW-P, GMAW-S, GTAW), or 3-5 years of equivalent welding experience Physically capable of lifting and carrying 5-25 pounds intermittently, 25-50 pounds occasionally, and over 50 pounds frequently Able to climb, work with arms above shoulder height, and work at heights greater than 12 feet Capable of continuous standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, stooping, grasping, pinching, repetitive motion, and working in extreme heat Requires clear distance vision beyond 20 feet and close vision under 20 inches for extended periods Continual ability to speak, hear, and use both hands effectively throughout the workday
