Welder Job Description This role focuses on high-volume production welding in a bench position, performing repetitive MIG welds throughout the day. You will contribute to the manufacturing of components for large agricultural equipment by producing consistent, high-quality welds using .035 and .045 wire in a fast-paced production shop. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding in a bench position for the full shift, focusing on consistent, repeatable production welds. Execute all welds using .035 and .045 MIG wire according to established specifications and quality standards. Follow production schedules and complete assigned welds efficiently to support continuous production flow. Inspect welds visually to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to required tolerances. Work collaboratively with team members to complete orders and meet daily and weekly production goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with shop safety procedures. Follow written and verbal instructions, including weld procedures and work orders. Use appropriate welding equipment and tools correctly and safely throughout the shift. Essential Skills At least 6 months of on-the-job MIG welding experience. Proficiency in MIG welding in a production environment. Ability to perform repetitive bench-position welds for the duration of the shift. Experience welding with .035 and .045 MIG wire. Capability to maintain consistent weld quality in a high-volume production setting. Ability to follow safety procedures and shop guidelines. Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate to complete shared production goals. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding diploma is a nice-to-have qualification. Prior experience in a production welding shop is beneficial. Familiarity with supplying parts or components to large manufacturing or agricultural equipment companies is an advantage. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a first-shift position with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role is based in a production shop environment where you will perform welding in a bench position throughout the day. The work is repetitive and focused on high-volume production, supplying various products to large agricultural companies. Teamwork is central to the culture, with all workers collaborating to complete jobs efficiently and maintain a steady workflow. You will use MIG welding equipment with .035 and .045 wire in a structured, safety-conscious setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
