H.J. Martin and Son is a diversified construction company specializing in commercial and residential flooring, glass and glazing, walls and ceilings, commercial doors and hardware, and millwork and fixture installation.

Position Description:

We're looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an entry-level Welder. We provide training and a strong opportunity to build a long-term career. In this role, you'll work with metal and steel door frames, performing tasks such as welding, grinding, cutting, punching, and finishing based on work orders.

Principal Responsibilities:

Light gauge MIG welding Assemble hollow metal and steel frames Weld, grind, and finish steel doors and frames Communicates effectively with others in all phases of work and is safety oriented Ensures work area remains clean and organized Load, deliver and unload material to various job site locations when needed

Other Duties As Assigned:

Performs other related duties as assigned including supporting team members in the completion of their work for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the business.

Experience/Education Required:

High School diploma or GED required Basic construction knowledge preferred Must have a valid driver's license Good communication skills Demonstrates dependability, accountability and initiative Be able to work independently and in a team setting A year of experience is preferred

Conditions of Employment:
