Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations across a variety of projects, ensuring that all work meets strict safety standards and quality benchmarks. Your expertise in multiple welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and pipefitting will be vital in delivering durable, reliable structures and systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex construction and manufacturing projects, where your craftsmanship will directly impact the success of our operations. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, TIG welding, and pipe welding with precision and consistency. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine welding specifications and procedures. Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems including plumbing, fire sprinkler fittings, HVAC ductwork, and pipeline components. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to prepare materials for welding or assembly. Execute pipe fitting tasks such as pipe threading, tube bending, pipe installation, and rigging on construction sites or manufacturing floors. Adhere strictly to safety regulations including NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), ASME codes & standards (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), and OSHA protocols. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and safety compliance documentation. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical schematics and ensure fabrication aligns with project specifications. Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and power tools to ensure optimal performance. Skills Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, Stick, TIG, and specialized pipe welding methods. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to pipefitting, fabrication processes, assembly techniques, and HVAC systems. Experience with pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and fire sprinkler fitting is highly desirable. Familiarity with safety regulations such as NFPA standards for fire protection systems and OSHA safety protocols. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools while maintaining a focus on safety best practices. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for precise fabrication work. Knowledge of construction site operations including rigging procedures and pipeline installation techniques. Ability to interpret technical schematics and use calipers or other measurement tools accurately. Prior experience in manufacturing or construction environments with a focus on quality workmanship and safety compliance is preferred.
