Job Responsibilities include Weld and assemble different pieces by using hand held welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures; utilize different materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, and tubing) Prepare and complete work on materials by welding, grinding, and cleaning metal Test and inspect welded components to ensure they meet set specifications before moving to the next department Work from different specifications and shop orders Utilize ruler, square, templates, and gauges to take and read measurements Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables Report damages on machines and equipment; maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Report all unsafe conditions to management Perform visual inspection of weld quality Provide work reports/feedback to supervisors or engineering teams Troubleshoot/resolve and recover from potential technical issues that may arise Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams. Protect Chamberlain Group's and Multi-Fab's reputation by keeping information confidential. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed. Qualifications Prefer welding experience. We will train the right individual. At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experienced welder / fabricators encouraged
