TIG Welder Job Description Join a stable manufacturing team as a TIG Welder, performing high-quality MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components. You will read and interpret blueprints and specifications, set up and operate welding equipment, and ensure all welds meet strict quality and accuracy standards. Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components to meet production and quality requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, welding symbols, and specifications to determine welding requirements. Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently for each job. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality, accuracy, and dimensional standards. Grind, clean, and finish welded assemblies as required to achieve final product specifications. Measure and verify dimensions using hand tools and measuring equipment to confirm compliance with drawings. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements at all times. Report quality issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly to leadership. Assist with fabrication and assembly tasks as needed to support production goals. Meet established productivity, quality, and delivery expectations on a consistent basis. Work independently and collaboratively with team members to complete jobs efficiently. Essential Skills Previous MIG and TIG welding experience on stainless steel and mild steel components. Proficiency in TIG welding, with the ability to produce clean, accurate, and structurally sound welds. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, welding symbols, and work orders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Basic math and measurement skills for verifying dimensions and tolerances. Ability to set up and operate welding equipment safely and effectively. Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior manufacturing experience preferred. Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment to verify dimensions. Work Environment This role is based in a first-shift manufacturing environment with flexible schedule options. Team members can work four 10-hour days (Monday through Thursday) or four 8-hour days (Monday through Friday), with typical start times at 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. The facility operates as a stable production setting focused on safety, organization, and efficiency, where welding, fabrication, and assembly activities are performed using standard welding equipment and measuring tools.
