Job Description
Ready to put your welding expertise to work? We're looking for a dependable Welders for our 2nd shift team, who takes pride in producing quality work and contributing to a collaborative, safety-focused team environment. Position Summary The Welder is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding a wide variety of machine parts and components in all welding positions while meeting strict quality, safety, and production standards. This role involves interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings, performing layout and setup work, selecting appropriate welding techniques, and verifying finished products for accuracy and conformance to specifications. The position requires hands-on operation of welding and cutting equipment, use of precision measuring tools, and collaboration with production leaders and team members to complete projects efficiently in a manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Fabricate and weld machine parts in all positions Manage time to ensure completion of assigned projects within specified time frame. Maintain quality and safety standards. Operate a forklift or crane when necessary. Follow company procedures to complete assignments Communicate concerns to supervisor timely. Maintain a clean and neat work area. Complete other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years Welding experience
- Language Skills
- Must be proficient in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. Also, good oral and written communication skills to interact with employees.
- Reasoning Ability
- Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and other manufacturing instructions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Math Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and to make metric system conversions.
- Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills and Manufacturing Software skills are preferred but not required.
