Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator specializing in TIG welding to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding and fabrication tasks on various metal materials, ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols will be essential in delivering high-quality craftsmanship on construction sites and within our fabrication shop. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects that demand technical expertise and a proactive approach. Duties Perform TIG welding on diverse metal materials, including sheet metal and structural components, following detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Interpret mechanical blueprints, fabrication shop drawings, and technical specifications accurately to guide fabrication processes. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure exact dimensions and tolerances. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication tasks. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine welding sequences and fabrication procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering strictly to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members on construction sites or in the shop to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met consistently. Requirements Proven experience in metal fabrication with a strong background in TIG welding; experience with MIG (Gas Metal Arc Welding) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) is a plus. Construction site experience preferred, with familiarity working around cranes and heavy machinery. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math accurately. Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Knowledge of AWS (American Welding Society) standards for welding quality assurance. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, machining, plasma cutting, and sheet metal work. Strong understanding of safety protocols applicable in welding environments and construction settings. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
