APOG) and specializes in architectural aluminum framing, windows, storefronts, curtainwall, and entrance systems. Our brands include Alumicor, EFCO, Linetec, Tubelite, and Wausau. Position Overview The Welder I performs basic welding operations on components and structures while following established safety, quality, and work procedures.
Pay & Schedule Starting Pay:
$21.50/hour
Day Shift:
6:00 AM-6:00 PM | 2-2-3
Schedule Night Shift:
6:00 PM-6:00 AM | 2-2-3 Schedule | +$2.00/hour shift premium Key Responsibilities Perform basic welding on components and materials. Read and follow basic blueprints and welding symbols. Inspect welds to ensure quality standards are met. Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE. Use measuring devices and hand tools accurately. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Work as part of a team to meet production goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic welding knowledge and skills. Ability to read a tape measure and use common hand tools. Ability to read and follow blueprints and work instructions. Basic computer/data entry skills. Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail. Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to adapt to changing production needs. Work Environment This position works in a manufacturing environment with machinery, varying temperatures, dust, and elevated noise levels. Required PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times. Overtime and weekend work may be available or required based on production needs.
