Maple Candy Associate (MON-FRI)

We are looking to add a full time member to our crew. This position will include a few different tasks throughout the day and is a very important role. Making maple candy requires 5 gallons of syrup to be heated, poured into hopper, poured into rubber shaped molds, cooled down, popped out of molds and dropped in a crystal bath to complete the final seal on the candy. When making maple candy and cream we use pure maple syrup and then use machines to get the consistencies we want. It requires attention to detail as batches can change quickly. Anyone with cooking experience is preferred but know this cooking technique will be different than any other you've probably experienced. We still use an older technique of making candy and packing candy. Must be comfortable working with hot liquids. This position will also include labeling and packing candy, etc! While in any production area we require hats/hairnets, apron/Shirt and gloves. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 8+ hours. (Making maple cream requires a lot of arm strength) Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m Pay is Dependent on previous food safety/production experience.
