Marine Mechanic

Overview As a Marine Mechanic at Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club, you will receive excellent pay and benefits, as well as the opportunity to work in a beautiful setting at a world class yacht club and boatyard. The Marine Mechanic position is a critical component of the Boatyard's ability to provide outstanding service. The position is responsible for maintaining and repairing marine motors for our Membership and customers. The successful candidate will be able to perform the following:

Diagnosis, Maintenance, and Repair:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on gas/diesel and outboard engines.
• Perform routine maintenance on all types of marine and yard vehicles and equipment
• Perform safety inspection and recommend services
• Perform routine maintenance on all types of boats
• Remove and replace accessories and parts
• Document detailed labor hours
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area

General Duties and Administration:

• Document detailed labor hours
• Compile and submit parts requests to the Parts Department
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area

Required Experience:

• Experienced mechanic with own tools
• Two years experience as a mechanic
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Knowledge and practice of shop safety procedures
• Detail-oriented while maintaining high productivity
• Valid Driver's License
• Excellent knowledge of marine motor mechanics
• Able to interpret complex instructions and/or specification
• Knowledge and practice of shop safety procedures
• Detail-oriented while maintaining high productivity

Pay:

$28.00 - $38.00 per hour
