This position is also responsible for the identification, implementation and coordination of ELC business development such as fundraising and donation efforts. The Marketing Outreach & Development Specialist closely collaborates with ELC leadership and other stakeholders to ensure accurate, transparent, and engaging messaging that promotes ELC. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate, implement, and engage in marketing and outreach activities supporting ELC's mission, strategic goals, and core values. Collaborate with leadership to ensure communications and events accurately reflect strategic direction and business needs. Develop and maintain marketing materials and digital platforms, including ELC Annual Report, brochures, flyers, newsletters, website content, and social media posts. Assist in outreach efforts within the community to promote services and reduce stigma. Assist with reporting of marketing and development activities as needed for continuous quality improvement, grants and other purposes. Support community engagement and relationship-building with community stakeholders, clients and staff. Represent ELC at assigned events and activities (e.g. Chamber Coffees, Marketing Meetings of the ACMHCK, etc.) Provide behavioral health awareness training (e.g. Mental Health First Aid, QPR Gatekeeper Training) to ELC staff and community members, completing training certification as required. Develop and execute community events and other activities to raise awareness and assist in financial business development. Ensure activities and products comply with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations. Maintain positive relationships and communications with vendors, stakeholders and clients. Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality and timeliness. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor. Complete all required trainings as assigned. Comply with ELC policy and procedures. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or community outreach, preferably in a nonprofit, healthcare, or social services setting. Demonstrate proficiency using office software products and design programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, etc. Experience in managing social media accounts, email marketing campaigns, and website content. Experience with community engagement, event promotion, or public relations initiatives. Must pass all required background checks. Must maintain valid Kansas Driver's license and have ability to travel when necessary.KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
Knowledge of marketing and development principles. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to speak publicly with confidence and professionalism. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Keen attention to detail.
