Position Summary The Marketing Specialist supports the execution of local marketing initiatives and brand promotion for City Winery, Hudson Valley. Working closely with the Marketing Director, this role helps implement marketing programs that support business objectives, drive customer acquisition, and foster guest loyalty and retention. The Marketing Specialist collaborates cross-functionally with internal departments to help elevate City Winery's visibility, strengthen local market engagement, and ensure consistent brand messaging across channels. Serving as a passionate ambassador for the City Winery brand, this role is based onsite at City Winery Hudson Valley and requires a strong connection to and understanding of the Hudson Valley community. The Marketing Specialist will help coordinate local partnerships, promotional opportunities, media outreach, and grassroots marketing efforts across radio, television, digital, and community platforms to grow awareness, audience engagement, and local brand presence. Overview of Responsibilities Marketing & Campaign Execution The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the execution of City Winery's local marketing strategy across live music, dining, winery experiences, and private events. Working closely with the Marketing Director and cross-functional teams, this role helps bring marketing campaigns to life across email, digital, social, print, and promotional channels. This position is responsible for coordinating marketing initiatives from concept through execution while ensuring timelines, brand standards, and business goals are met. The Marketing Specialist will support promotional efforts for concerts, wine programming, culinary experiences, memberships, and special events, while helping identify opportunities to improve visibility, attendance, and customer engagement, particularly for undersold shows and priority initiatives. Digital Marketing & Content Management The Marketing Specialist will support City Winery's digital presence by maintaining accurate and timely information across the website, email platforms, and social media channels. Responsibilities include creating and updating event listings in web systems, coordinating weekly Vinofile programming emails, managing audience and prospect databases, and ensuring promotional content remains current and engaging. This role will also help drive website traffic and audience growth through artist partnerships, external links, social promotion, and digital marketing efforts. Working collaboratively with internal teams, the Marketing Specialist will assist in developing content for social posts, promotional campaigns, artist marketing, wine-focused experiences, and other brand storytelling initiatives. Social Media, Media Relations & Partnerships Serving as an ambassador for the City Winery brand, the Marketing Specialist will help maintain relationships with media contacts, bloggers, influencers, and local tastemakers across music, food, wine, and lifestyle industries. The role will work with our outside PR agency on weekly press releases, media listings, and promotional opportunities. The Marketing Specialist will also support the management of social media platforms and assist in ensuring artists, partners, and collaborators are actively promoting City Winery experiences across their own channels when appropriate. Brand & Collateral Support This role will assist in ensuring all venue marketing materials and collateral remain current, visually compelling, and aligned with City Winery's brand standards. Working closely with the Creative Services team, the Marketing Specialist will coordinate the development and distribution of promotional materials including brochures, posters, postcards, digital slides, in-house signage, and other print and digital assets. The position will also help support promotional needs for philanthropic initiatives, donation requests, winery programming, food and beverage events, and other special projects across departments. Reporting & Collaboration The Marketing Specialist will help track campaign activity, maintain marketing reports, monitor online reviews and guest feedback, and communicate insights to internal stakeholders when appropriate. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, organization, creativity, and attention to detail, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced hospitality and live entertainment environment. Additional responsibilities and special projects may be assigned based on business needs. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, hospitality, live entertainment, lifestyle brands, or a related consumer-facing industry, and/or equivalent relevant experience Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, partnerships, and promotional channels preferred Creative and metric-driven mindset with an understanding of audience engagement, customer acquisition, and revenue-driving marketing strategies Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments Positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented attitude with a strong team-first mindset and high level of integrity Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Strong listening, presentation, and organizational skills Proficient in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, email marketing systems, and general marketing technology Experience with website content management systems, CRM/email databases, and digital media platforms is a plus Appreciation and general understanding of live music, hospitality, food, wine, and cultural programming Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and contribute creatively while maintaining brand standards Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to travel occasionally as business needs require Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and regularly stand and walk throughout venue spaces Must be based in or have strong familiarity with the Hudson Valley region, including its local communities, cultural landscape, hospitality scene, and media landscape, with the ability to build authentic relationships and partnerships throughout the area Ability and willingness to work onsite at City Winery Hudson Valley and actively represent the City Winery brand through community engagement, local events, grassroots marketing efforts, and strategic partnerships Bachelor's degree is preferred in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience About Us Wine, food, and live entertainment collide at City Winery to create a dynamic and incredibly unique workplace.
