In this role, you will lead the development and execution of innovative marketing campaigns, oversee event marketing initiatives, and manage our social media platforms to enhance DMARC's visibility and engagement. Your expertise will be instrumental in building strong community relationships and expanding our community outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of marketing strategies and excellent communication skills. This is a newly created position to support DMARC's mission. Promotion(s) Planning & Coordination - 60% Spearhead the planning and execution of special promotions, food & fund drives, and community outreach activities. Develop an annual prospect list for promotions and food & fund drives and work alongside the Vice President of Development to ensure the annual strategy aligns with the development plan. Secure promotional hosts and ensure hosts are prepared for a successful fundraising activity. Create and oversee timelines and budgets, ensuring all financial goals are met. Coordinate registration, manage logistics, and oversee successful completion of fundraising promotions. In partnership with the Volunteer Manager, recruit, train, and direct assigned volunteers and staff. Marketing & Communications - 20% Streamline processes, develop and execute promotional strategies to drive attendance and increase organizational visibility. Work alongside the Director of Strategic Communications to ensure that the use of the organization's social media, email newsletters, and the website have accurate information regarding promotions and drives. Draft and design engaging marketing collateral, including flyers and landing pages for online drives. Track and report on metrics and event ROI to inform future strategies. Donor & Stakeholder Engagement - 20% Maintain accurate donor and participant data within the organization's database. Assist with donor segmentation, post-fundraiser follow-up, and sponsor / volunteer recognition as appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, sales or a related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of proven experience in event planning, marketing, or a related role, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
Soft Skills:
Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with CRM software (Raiser's Edge preferred) and graphic design software (e.g., Canva/Adobe Express).
Mission Alignment:
A strong passion for DMARC's cause and a demonstrated ability to act as a brand ambassador.
Initiative:
Is action oriented and energetic; seeks out and seizes upon opportunities; sets demanding but achievable objectives for self and others. A proven ability to take direction, but to also work with minimal direct supervision and manage multiple projects, while being a committed team player.
Interpersonal Skills:
Establishes good working relationships with all who are part of the fundraising process, working both internally and externally, using diplomacy and tact.

Flexibility:
This position requires evenings and weekends at times when promotions arise. During the spring, summer and fall months, flexibility will be important.
