Job Description
The Pricing and Promotions Manager will be a key leader responsible for driving the company's profitability and growth. This fully remote role reports to the Director of Pricing and Profitability and is responsible for architecting and executing sophisticated pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies across both Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Business-to-Business (B2B) channels. The Manager will lead a highly analytical team, collaborate closely with senior business leaders to manage the P&L, and act as a player-coach to turn data-driven insights into impactful business results. Pricing, Merchandising, and Promotional Strategy and Optimization Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a holistic pricing strategy that aligns with business goals and enhances profitability across all channels (DTC and B2B). Utilize and refine advanced pricing methodologies, including value-based pricing, cost-plus pricing, competitive pricing, and market-based pricing, to develop balanced and actionable pricing recommendations. Collaborate with business leaders to define pricing objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and success metrics. Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to identify pricing opportunities and challenges. Develop data-driven recommendations for promotional timing, depth of discount, and target audience. Evaluate the ROI of promotional activities and make adjustments to improve effectiveness. Lead and manage a highly analytical team focused on driving sustainable growth across both Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Business-to-Business (B2B) channels. Managing the P&L Partner with finance and business leaders to develop, automate, and maintain audit processes to identify and eliminate profitability leakage across all channels. Design, implement, and maintain robust checks and balances to ensure pricing and promotion logic maximizes profitability while mitigating financial and operational risks. Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable pricing testing platform to support structured experimentation, robust analytics, and continuous performance improvement. Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Services Oversight Design and automate Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) services agreements to ensure 100% compliance with manufacturer policies. Oversee MAP tracking processes, including suppression and override management, to maintain compliance across diverse business channels. Monitor retailer pricing activities to identify potential MAP violations and address concerns and actions with manufacturers. Leadership, Collaboration, and Influence Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing pricing team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages analytical rigor and professional growth. Function as a player-coach, balancing high-level strategic direction with hands-on involvement in complex analyses and project execution. Partner with key stakeholders in Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with broader business objectives. Present compelling pricing recommendations and performance updates to senior leadership, effectively communicating the impact of pricing decisions on the business. Continuously evaluate and optimize pricing systems and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and strategic capabilities. Requirements 7+ years of professional experience, including experience in pricing, analytics, statistical, or related fields. 6+ years of dedicated experience with SQL. Degree in finance, analytics, computer science, or other tech/analytical field highly preferred, advanced degree a plus, or relevant equivalent experience. Strong command of relational databases, Sigma, Matillion, and other analytical tools. The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. This position is primarily paid on highly incentivized commission structure. The starting compensation is expected to be: $130,000 - $150,000
