Job Description

At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader — we're changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We're committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts. Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet. Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all. About the Team and the Opportunity eBay Advertising is a critical, multi-billion dollar strategic pillar for the company, offering innovative advertising solutions to sellers and brand partners. This fast-paced portfolio is key to the company's success and requires a highly strategic operator to ensure global execution and operational excellence. We are looking to hire a Senior Manager of Strategy and Business Operations, at a Level 26 (L26), who will be instrumental in supporting the Global Advertising General Manager (GM) and leadership team. This role will focus on accelerating growth, shaping strategy, and ensuring operational excellence in planning, advanced analytics, and cross-functional performance management across the global Advertising portfolio. The role demands a dual mentality: that of a strategic leader—who has a deep understanding of the dynamics of two-sided marketplaces, global media, and AdTech, can frame complex challenges into clear frameworks, and possesses strong data intuition and executive-ready communications—as well as an embedded operational partner not afraid to drive tactical execution. What You Will Accomplish Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Global Advertising General Manager (GM) and leadership team. Synthesize and aggregate strategic data and performance insights from different product teams across the advertising portfolio to inform the unified global strategy. Lead deep dives on high-impact strategic and operational topics, ranging from diagnosis to execution. Build and own executive-ready presentations on strategy and operational updates for the Advertising business. Create operational consistency, processes, and alignment across the global portfolio. Partner closely with the central Strategy & Business Operations function and GMs to manage interdependencies, drive prioritization, and resolve cross-segment escalations. Own tracking and reporting of portfolio health, including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs), presented to the eBay global leadership teams. Cultivate deep cross-functional partnerships to ensure strategic and operational alignment with all major eBay teams and global initiatives. What You Will Bring 6+ years of related experience, including 3+ years at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or in a strategy or planning role at a major corporation. Industry experience in Advertising/AdTech, Global Media, E-commerce, or consumer tech is highly preferred. BA/BS required, MBA or similar graduate degree preferred. Additional Details The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: $111,200 - $190,100 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. eBay is an equal opportunity employer.
