Lilly's preferred marketing firm inside the Lilly program team, onsite. The role is an integration role that runs alongside Lilly's Program Director and their team who can hold people, information, decisions, and execution together as the work scales around them.
Overview:
This role is not a rigid well-defined position. Most of the work is never assigned. When something is falling between two groups, you are the one who notices and closes it. The role will adapt to the program's rhythm, not the other way around. Your in-office days, meeting cadence, and working style follow your program, not a fixed schedule. Presence is intentional and necessary providing marketing support, communication and material the Program Director needs to support construction and start-up of new drug-making facilities. We have been supporting their programs for years and have built trust and respect and have earned a place inside a multi-billion-dollar enterprise, providing marketing material and support and communications to all internal and external stakeholders.Essential Responsibilities:
- Move decisions, not just information: Get the right people to an answer and close it out. Accurate relay between parties is the floor.
- Arrive with a recommendation. When you raise a problem, you bring a proposed path and ask whether it holds. You will often build that path with incomplete information and no precedent to copy.
- Set the rhythm . Own the program's communication cadence: leadership updates, all-hands moments, milestone recaps, site-wide visibility. Build the work-back schedule before anyone asks for one.
- Anticipate. Read what is coming at your director and prepare for it unprompted. Start what the program will need in six weeks now.
- Direct creative firepower. Brief Ceremony's design, video, and production teams with enough context that they can do their best work. You shape and direct. You are not the designer.
- Refine the playbook .
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or similar with at least 7-10 years of progressive communications, program management, creative production or similar role where you were the strategic thinker and provided tactical execution. Position requires that someone operates without clear direction and produces something remarkable. Able to write well under pressure, take ownership for clearly defined goals, sometimes operating with ambiguity and able to ask questions and form relationships with the right people. You must be comfortable being the most visible person in the room and the least credited one. This is a role that does not have a well-defined scope but acts like a Generalist. You will assert yourself between company ownership and E.I. Lilly's Program Director and measure success when the Program Director stops assigning you work because you're already two-steps ahead of them!! #MP1Pay:
