What You Will Do Volunteer Leadership Recruit, onboard, train, schedule and support volunteers. Create meaningful volunteer experiences that encourage long-term engagement. Coordinate volunteer opportunities across the organization. Maintain volunteer records and required documentation. Community Partnerships Build relationships with businesses, churches, schools, civic organizations, donors and community partners. Represent House of Refuge at community events, networking events and speaking engagements. Promote volunteer opportunities and donation drives Community Projects & Donation Drives Plan and coordinate volunteer service projects and donation drives. Organize logistics, communications, volunteer assignments and event support. Communications & Program Growth Develop volunteer communications and recognition initiatives. Create content for newsletters, presentations, social media and donor communications. Track volunteer participation and program outcomes. Use data to improve volunteer engagement and community impact. Support organizational events. Other initiatives as assigned. What You Bring Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Two (2) years of experience in volunteer management, nonprofit operations, community engagement, event coordination, customer service or relationship management. Valid Arizona driver's license. Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening. Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, marketing, public administration or related field. Experience coordinating volunteers, community partnerships or nonprofit programs. Experience with Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, or similar nonprofit CRM systems. Enjoys planning events and coordinating projects. Uses data to evaluate and improve programs. Provides exceptional customer service. Works independently and collaboratively. Is proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and database software. Work Environment Works in a shared office environment with interaction throughout House of Refuge campuses. Occasional evenings and weekends. Local travel between House of Refuge campuses and community locations. Indoor and outdoor work supporting volunteer projects and donation drives with exposure to varying weather conditions and temperature extremes. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with event setup and teardown. Reliable transportation.
