The Marketing and Communications Manager manages marketing and communications for PVI, including all core programs, events, activities, and services internally and externally. Working under the direction of and reporting to the Director of Development, this person will be involved in a variety of marketing and communications related activities that will help drive brand awareness and expansion. Responsibilities span print and digital marketing and will involve management of the following: multi-channel marketing campaigns, website, client and donor -focused marketing, advertising and social media.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning and Leadership Manage and coordinate and implement marketing and communications strategy in collaboration with and direction from PVI leadership, Board and internal teams as needed, to position the organization as one Peninsula Volunteers, Inc., internally and externally. Support implementation of PVI initiatives, special projects, events or fundraisers to fulfill organizational mission. Marketing Operations Management Develop a marketing process and maintain annual marketing roadmap, marketing calendar and implementation plan for major, recurring development and PVI program activities. Own the development and design, content and collateral for timely marketing communications in all channels in collaboration with PVI leadership, Program Directors, other key organizational stakeholders and third-party partners. Examples include fall and spring donor campaigns, annual report, newsletters, stories and case statements and all core program and event collateral materials and engaging videos and video testimonials. Maintain updates and ensure brand relevance. Lead marketing initiatives to expand and optimize PVI awareness and brand presence on website and select external and social sites (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, NextDoor, Patch and others). Grow audience and reach of all platforms. Manage website look and feel, content consistency and project enhancements with input from PVI stakeholders. Be a steward of the brand to ensure consistent voice and visual across materials and channels. Lead public and donor marketing initiatives to help drive awareness and education of our programs and services Oversee the coordination for all external media outlets for consistent messaging. Create content and design for print media and various community outlets, supported by Development Director and Major Gifts Manager. Coordinate process for and write press releases and create "press kits" as needed. Form and maintain relationships with local journalists and news agencies. Participate in PVI development efforts to identify, solicit, engage and retain donors. Engage in skill and abilities self-development for professional growth.Marketing Research and Measurement:
Research industry resources and data to incorporate into marketing approaches. Measure, analyze and develop reporting for the outcomes and impact of marketing efforts and campaigns through metrics/analytics results reporting (including Google Analytics/AdWords). Develop ad hoc reporting and data analysis as needed. Support marketing communications for program needs and program mailing lists. Identify clients and caregivers willing to give testimonials, provide stories and photos for written promotional materials and/or for PVI and community speaking event Skills Needed Demonstrated marketing and communications skills, social media and collateral materials development, website management. Strong interpersonal, written and presentation skills to effectively build and sustain positive rapport and collaboration across a variety of functions in person and remotely: internal partners, management, board, donors, volunteers and community partner relationships. Comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders Impeccable project, planning and organizational skills with strong creativity, detail orientation, prioritization and follow-through abilities. Resourceful, flexible, collaborative self-starter who takes initiative and demonstrates persistence. Effectively works with teams and independently with minimal oversight. Ability to sets, track and meet deadlines and manage projects within designated timeframes. Superior writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail. Quantitative skills to conduct marketing analysis/metric tracking and reporting as requested. High level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues. Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Adobe Creative Cloud product set (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat), Excel; and with WordPress, Google AdWords.QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English or equivalent experience required. 5 years of relevant work experience and a strong record of performance and leadership in marketing, communications and graphic design. Advertising and public relations/multi-media channels experience preferred. Advertising and public relations experience preferred. Social media channel savvy, with marketing collateral development, email automation, website content management experience preferred. Nonprofit and sales experience preferred. Previous experience working with Salesforce or other CRM tool a plus.Job Type:
