This position blends community-based outreach, grassroots marketing, social media engagement, and events to strengthen the Laurus College brand and generate prospective student interest. The ideal candidate is outgoing, creative, organized, and comfortable engaging with people both in person and online. This role works closely with Admissions, Outreach, and Marketing to turn community awareness and engagement into meaningful prospective student connections.   • Represent Laurus College at community events, career fairs, educational events, and other prospective student outreach opportunities.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, career centers, local businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations that connect potential students.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase Laurus College visibility and generate prospective student interest.
  • Support campus events, open houses, information sessions, and other community-facing activities.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador for Laurus College. Brand & Marketing Support
  • Support grassroots marketing initiatives that increase awareness of Laurus College throughout the community.
  • Help capture authentic content from campus activities, events, students, alumni, faculty, and staff for social media and marketing.
  • Contribute ideas for social media, short-form video, event coverage, and community-focused content.
  • Identify community and social trends that may create new opportunities to reach prospective students.
  • Ensure outreach activities and materials consistently reflect approved Laurus College branding and messaging. Lead Generation & Enrollment Support
  • Generate and accurately document prospective student leads from outreach activities and events.
  • Partner with Admissions to ensure timely handoff and follow-up of prospective students.
  • Communicate key information about Laurus College programs while appropriately transitioning detailed enrollment conversations to Admissions.
  • Track outreach activities, leads, referrals, events, and resulting enrollment activity. What Makes Someone Successful Success in this position will be measured through community engagement, prospective student leads and referrals, event activity, social and brand engagement, campus visits, and the contribution of outreach efforts to enrollment.. Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, network, develop relationships, recruit, sell, or generate new business.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly throughout the Santa Maria area.
  • Flexibility for occasional early morning, evening, or weekend events Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on active listening and student-centered service.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Comfortable using technology platforms for communication, scheduling, and data entry. A commitment to ethical practices and continuous learning.
