Job Description
Typical Qualifications Education :
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or related discipline. 5+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or related field. Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for advancement and fundraising communications preferred.Skills & Competencies:
Ability to translate the University's mission, vision, and strategic plan into persuasive communications. Proven ability to write and edit compelling content, with high degree of creativity. Demonstrated experience with design and other creative visual communications. Excellent copy editing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail. Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to multitask and prioritize projects and tasks. Ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver results under pressure. Collaborative team player who can also work independently. Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Supplemental Information Physical Demands Moderate physical activity. May occasionally require handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds. May require occasional foot travel between university buildings to meet with others. Work Environment Requires working in a typical office environment with sitting and regular use of a computer; the ability to see, hear and use office equipment. Requires as-needed attendance at evening and/or weekend activities.
