Job Description

Development & Community Engagement Associate - Women's Care Center, Fort Pierce Women's Care Center is the nation's largest pregnancy resource center. Founded by a Catholic theologian in 1984, this organization now serves 40,000 women annually from 38 centers in 12 states. Our mission is to help pregnant women choose life for their babies, have healthier pregnancies, become better parents, and take first steps to self-sufficiency. To help advance our mission, we are seeking a Development & Community Engagement Associate to build and grow support within the local Fort Pierce community. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by meaningful work, values relationships, and is motivated by making a tangible difference in the lives of women and families.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and Execute Luxury Bingo Events:
Organize and lead all aspects of the Luxury Bingo event in Fort Pierce. This includes growing and supporting the event committee, securing sponsorships, managing invitations, and expanding the event's reach and impact.
Cultivate Community Support:
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors through personalized outreach, including calls, handwritten notes, meetings, and mailings. Focus on growing the donor base while deepening engagement with current supporters. Engage the
Community:
Represent Women's Care Center within local churches, businesses, and community groups to increase awareness and support for the mission. Lead a
Network of Advocates:
Recruit, inspire, and guide individuals who are passionate about the mission and willing to connect others to the organization.
Other Responsibilities:
Manage donor relationships with an entrepreneurial mindset, working collaboratively with the client care team and national support team. Establish and maintain organized systems to manage donor outreach, follow-up, and event planning. Prepare and execute donor communications, including appeal letters, mailings, thank-you notes, tax receipts, and event materials with strong attention to detail. Organize and execute smaller fundraising efforts such as diaper drives and material assistance drives. Maintain and update donor profiles within the donor database to ensure accurate and strategic communication. Collaborate with client care staff, when appropriate, to gather meaningful stories for donor engagement materials. Recruit, coordinate, and manage volunteers to support organizational initiatives. This position requires local travel to meet with donors, businesses, and community partners. Reliable transportation is necessary for travel throughout the surrounding areas, including Port St. Lucie, Stuart, and Vero Beach. All mileage is reimbursed at company rate. Acquisition of sponsorships, event attendees, and prizes for the Bingo event.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience:
Background in nonprofit, sales, marketing, or other relationship-based roles is helpful. Passion for the mission, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to take initiative are highly valued. Training is provided.
