Islamorada is a leading producer of premium spirits, dedicated to craftsmanship, innovation, and quality. We take pride in every batch we create, combining tradition with modern techniques to deliver a world-class product. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Distiller and Batching Operator to join our production team. This role is key to maintaining the integrity and consistency of our products.
Responsibilities:
Distillation:
Operate and monitor distillation equipment including stills, pumps, and cooling systems. Conduct distillation runs according to SOPs and production schedules. Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates, making real-time adjustments to ensure quality. Record and analyze data for each batch to ensure compliance and traceability.
Batching & Blending:
Prepare and mix raw ingredients according to recipes and production plans. Measure and weigh ingredients precisely using scales and measuring tools. Ensure batches are blended consistently and meet quality specifications. Transfer products between tanks, totes, and other vessels safely and efficiently.
Quality & Safety:
Conduct sensory and visual checks at all production stages. Follow all safety, sanitation, and GMP guidelines. Maintain accurate records and logs for all production activities. Participate in routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in distilling, brewing, or beverage manufacturing preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment. Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures precisely. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school a plus).
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs regularly. Standing, bending, and climbing ladders for extended periods. Exposure to hot/cold temperatures, noise, and strong aromas. Shift work may be required, including evenings or weekends.

Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly. Assist with packaging operations, ensuring products are packaged according to specifications. Utilize forklift equipment safely for material handling within the warehouse environment. Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflows and meet production targets. Adhere strictly to food safety protocols to ensure product quality and safety. Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, preferably within the food industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with sanitation practices, HACCP principles, and CGMP regulations is essential. Experience in brewing or craft beer production is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification may be required. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
