Full Time & Non-Exempt Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. From our humble beginnings with one boy's wish to be a police officer, we have evolved to be one of the world's leading children's charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. With the help of generous donors and nearly 250 volunteers, Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida granted 481 wishes last year. Position Summary The Mission Delivery Associate works directly with the Volunteer and Wish Granting teams. This role supports communication and stewardship of volunteers who help deliver the Make-A-Wish mission. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, organized, responsive, and energized by supporting volunteers and wish families across Central and Northern Florida. This position works closely with the Mission Delivery team to strengthen volunteer engagement, support wish intake process, grant wishes, and improve the family and volunteer experience. Duties and Responsibilities Wish Experience Support Coordinate volunteer engagement and familyfocused touchpoints throughout the wish journey, including discovery visits, wish reveals, wish boosts, icebreaker gifts, birthday cards, wish celebrations, special events, and other mission experiences that enhance engagement for wish children and their families. Support wish quality and consistency efforts to deliver exceptional wish experiences. Assist wish granters with family intake paperwork. Coordinate postwish survey outreach and followup. Organize wish survey feedback and share with wish granting leaders and coordinators. Maintain volunteer signup opportunities and help ensure wish children are assigned to volunteers in a timely manner. Create and send regular volunteer communications, including newsletters, social media posts, reminders, updates, and appreciation messages. Conduct virtual Wish Discovery visits when volunteers are unavailable or when a wish child has been waiting beyond the expected assignment timeframe. Assist volunteers with collecting completed wish paperwork and ensuring missing information is communicated and resolved. Provide additional support for volunteer and wish granting team as well as program leadership. Support Medical Outreach and referral efforts as needed. Wish Granting Steward wish families through the wish process, acting as a consistent point of contact throughout the wish journey. Build relationships with local wish families with an annual goal of granting highquality wishes. Ensure wish families receive timely, accurate, and compassionate communication throughout planning and fulfillment. Serve as 24hour emergency contact for assigned traveling wish families; this may include nights, weekends, and holidays depending on when wishes are scheduled. Coordinate wish arrangements, including transportation, lodging, activities, vendors, expense money, celebrations, and related logistics. Work with families, volunteers, vendors, and internal team members to obtain required receipts, invoices, confirmations, and documentation. Strive to secure inkind donations on every wish by working with local and national companies. Develop and steward vendor relationships that support wish quality, cost effectiveness, and family experience. Forecast uptodate spending and financial information in Salesforce/WVC or other internal systems. Maintain accurate wish notes, status updates, task completion, budget details, and documentation in Salesforce/WVC. Knowledge and Abilities Strong project management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with diverse groups of people Excellent communication and organizational skills Exceptional attention to detail and deadlines Resourceful with the ability to resolve challenges in an efficient, calm manner Possess integrity, maturity and ethical awareness; ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, teamoriented environment Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to learn and maintain accurate information in Salesforce/WVC and other internal systems Desired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in hospitality, communications, business, or another relevant field Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English (Spanish preferred) Experience working with Salesforce or another CRM preferred Working Conditions This position is in Maitland, FL and requires the individual to work in an office environment in a shared office space. Incumbent must have the ability and willingness to travel regionally and work some nights/weekends.
