Works with the Communications manager and fellow supervisors/team leads to facilitate and organizeproject coordination/writer/editor workload and resources to best support the organizations vision,mission and values; Serves as the supervisor for project coordination team members. Coordinates andmonitors assigned team activities; and provide routine analysis of activities/workload to management;Oversees the activities and functions of communications specialists/writers/editors. Using HRguidance and forms, evaluates and reports on team members performance to the Communicationsmanager; Develops standards of practice for project coordination/writing/editing, and with theapproval of the Communications manager, implements and enforces the standards of practice for theteam members to follow; Writes and edits multiple types of products to support otherCommunications functions teams (design, video, web, media relations, etc.), including, but not limitedto communications/community engagement plans; internal message to employees;books/catalogs/guides; banners; brochures; FAQs; fact sheets; flyers; invitations/evites; mediareleases; postcards; posters; print ads; talking points; television promos and websites; Serves as thelead on project coordination and/or delegates coordination of senior-level administration projects.
Develops, reviews and/or implements strategic and tactical communications/community engagementplans for senior-level administration projects; Presents information one-on-one and group situation tocustomers/clients, administration, directors, managers and other employees; Follow department andcounty government procedures, policies, directives and guidance. Ensure actions are aligned withcountys vision, mission, values and goals. Provide excellent customer service in each task and/orassigned project whether for internal and/or external use; Participate in training as necessary orprescribed to stay up to date on communications skills, trends, strategies and tools. Researches anddesignates training for team members to develop skills and tools.
