Our employer is seeking a relationship-driven Development Specialist to support fundraising, donor engagement, grants, and community partnerships. This position will work closely with the CEO, Board, staff, donors, and community partners to expand philanthropic support and advance the organizations mission.
Responsibilities:
Support annual fundraising and development strategies and initiatives. Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors. Research funding opportunities and prepare grant proposals, sponsorship requests, reports, and other development materials. Support donor stewardship, including acknowledgments, communications, updates, and recognition. Maintain accurate donor and prospect records, calendars, and activity in the organizations CRM/database. Assist with fundraising events, sponsorships, donor cultivation, and community engagement. Partner with the CEO and Board to identify prospects, facilitate introductions, and strengthen donor relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with businesses, foundations, community organizations, and other stakeholders. Track fundraising activities, deadlines, outcomes, and contributed revenue, and prepare reports as needed. Represent the company at appropriate donor, community, and organizational events.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, arts administration, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. 2+ years of nonprofit development/fundraising experience. Experience with donor cultivation, grants, sponsorships, stewardship, and community relations. W ritten and verbal communication, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, funders, Board members, and community partners. Experience with donor databases/CRM systems and Microsoft Office. Arts or cultural organization experience is a plus. Valid drivers license and transportation required.
